 Pike-Letcher Land Company
Pike-Letcher Land Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of TECO Coal Corporation, was formed in November 1991 to manage the natural resources acquired by TECO Coal. Our mission is to maximize return on investment through the efficient management of resources. Since its formation, the natural resource base has grown to include properties in Buchanan County, VA. and today TECO Coal manages approximately 147,000 acres which include coal, natural gas, oil, and timber reserves. We also manage our Raven Rock Development in Jenkins, KY that consists of commercial and residential development of the property surrounding the Raven Rock Golf Course.
Our staff consists of geologists and land agents who provide geological evaluations and help to acquire additional reserves for TECO Coal. The staff at Pike-Letcher Land Company has over 100 years of cumulative experience in the coal mining industry.
Raven Rock Development
Our Raven Rock Development is a 680-acre commercial and residential development located in Jenkins, KY. Built primarily on reclaimed mine land, the development consists of an eighteen hole public golf course, residential property strategically located near the course and commercial development properties located along U.S. Highway 23.
Consistent with our purpose of helping to build better communities where we work and live, Raven Rock has been designed to enhance the economy of Jenkins and the surrounding area while affording a unique living and recreational environment not found elsewhere in Eastern Kentucky.
