Headquartered near Biggs, Ky., in Pike County, Clintwood Elkhorn Mining Co. has both underground and surface mining operations. Principal products mined in Pike County include world class, high-volatile metallurgical coals.

A second Clintwood Elkhorn operation, located near Hurley, Va., has five underground mines and supplies high-volatile metallurgical coal, as well as steam products.

Products from both Clintwood Elkhorn operations are shipped domestically via rail and truck. European customers receive their products via ocean vessels sailing from Lambert's Point, Va.
