Pike-Letcher Land Co. was formed in November 1991 to manage the natural resources acquired by its parent company, TECO Coal Corporation. The men and women of Pike-Letcher Land Co. help maximize the company’s return on investment by efficiently managing TECO Coal’s resources.
Since the formation of Pike-Letcher Land Co., the natural resource base has grown to include properties in Virginia. Today, TECO Coal manages nearly 168,000 acres, which include coal, natural gas, oil and timber reserves.
The Pike-Letcher Land Co. team includes geologists and land agents, who provide geological evaluation and help acquire additional reserves. The staff has 100 years of collective experience in the coal mining industry.
Pike-Letcher Land Co. also manages TECO Coal’s Raven Rock project. The Raven Rock development is a 680-acre commercial/residential development located in Jenkins, Ky. Built primarily on reclaimed mine land, the development consists of an 18-hole public golf course, residential property strategically located near the course, and commercial development properties located along U.S. Highway 23.
Raven Rock has been designed to enhance the economy of Jenkins and the surrounding area, while affording a unique living and recreational environment not found elsewhere in Eastern Kentucky.
